Led by Jean-Sébastien Day, the studio brings senior-level design and systems thinking to products where the interface has to function inside complex, real-time environments.
The work spans AAA game development, automotive HMI, and advanced autonomy platforms. What connects those areas isn't a particular industry, it's the same underlying challenge: making sure the design holds together when it meets engineering, performance constraints, and production reality.
We work embedded inside teams, or as a focused external partner on defined milestones. Either way, the goal is the same: move from concept to something the team can build from.
What We Do
The work starts wherever the product needs it, and runs as deep as it needs to go.
That might mean establishing the interaction framework before engineering builds anything.
It might mean prototyping directly in Unreal to test something that can't be evaluated in a mockup.
It might mean taking a visual language that works in concept and making it work under real performance conditions.
Across game development, automotive, and interactive products, the disciplines tend to overlap: interface design, interaction behavior, motion, in-engine prototyping, visual direction, production pipeline integration.
We move between them depending on what the project needs.
Engagement
Day Studio operates in two modes:
Embedded
Working directly inside a team, carrying responsibility across design direction, interaction logic, and cross-discipline alignment. Best suited to projects in early development or navigating a significant pivot..
External Partnership
Scoped work around specific milestones, deliverables, or problems. We come in, understand the context, and work toward something concrete. Less overhead, still deeply involved.
Both modes work. The difference is usually about where the team is and what they need.
